Hot Seat Questions and Answers

Q. When did you join CVDFK and what is your specialist area of work?

A. Joined in February 2007, I work within Kate’s team as the Technical and Training manager.

Q. What book are you currently reading?

A. The Jane Austen Book club – since starting at CV I spend 1½hours a day on the train so I am getting through a lot of books.

Q. What did you have for dinner last night?

A. Re-heated Spaghetti Bolognese– ready in 5 minutes in the microwave, jobs a goodun.

Q. What is the last film you saw at the cinema?

A. Went to the IMAX with the training department last Monday and watched a 3D documentary on space. Was pretty spectacular just a shame Tom Cruise had to commentate throughout in an over dramatic way.

Q. If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

A. A dolphin, I had the honour of swimming with them recently in New Zealand and they are so graceful, social, intelligent and fun creatures.

Q. What and/or who makes you laugh?

A. Friends make me laugh. Not many comedians make me laugh out loud but Peter Kaye, Mel & Sue and Shaun the sheep are always guaranteed a giggle.

Q. What are the best and worst presents you’ve ever received?

A. Best present I ever received was my BMX bike when I was 10. Being the 3rd child my bikes were always hand-me-downs from my brother and sister (which I am not complaining about as I always had dead cool bikes which were far too big for me - loved my chopper) but neither of them had wanted a BMX but after watching BMX bandits I was hooked. I was well chuffed with my red BMX with monkey nuts!!!! It was also my worst present as Mum and Dad had got it out of the second-hand paper and the crankshaft was worn out. I would be mid-trick and lose all traction on the pedal and fall forward like a sack of spuds. I never had the heart to tell my parents.

Q. What role(s) did you have in your school play(s)?

A. I did GCSE drama and I played a mad old woman in our exam piece that had lost her cat

Q. Which famous person would you most like to have dinner with, and why?

A. Ellen Degeneres – I think she would be really good fun and know loads of gossip

Q. Where in the world have you always wanted to go, but never quite made it…yet?

A. Glastonbury – I know that is not very exotic but I have always wanted to go but every year I find an excuse not to brave the toilets.
